Criteria for assessing abstracts - further details

 

The following criteria will be used to choose abstracts for the ICAMMHA 2024 conference:

1. Relevance to ICAMMHA Categories
- Abstracts must fit the categories listed on the ICAMMHA website: [ICAMMHA Call
for Abstracts](https://www.icammha.com/call-for-abstracts/).

2. Match with Conference Theme
- Abstracts should relate to the conference theme: ‘The Future of Perinatal Mental
Health in Africa.’

3. Geographical and Cultural Context
- Abstracts should state clearly where the research was carried out ie District/County/Province/Region/Country.
- Focus on findings and insights that are related to, and impact on,
African countries and other LMIC’s.

4. Quality and Impact of Research
- Abstracts should show: strong research methods.
- Explain the potential impact of the findings.
- Highlight new and original contributions to the field.

5. Appropriateness for Conference Format
- Please suggest the best format for presenting the research, or findings, based on its content and
importance.

6. Thematic and Interdisciplinary Balance
- ICAMMHA wishes to cover a wide range of topics on maternal mental health.
and include perspectives from different disciplines.

7. Innovation
